siL0
04:52
|
|||
Go dig yourself a grave
To ride out the storm,
This siL0, underground
Was built long before you were born.
Generations of mistakes
Inflamed and generated hate.
It's a raw deal, but such is fate.
So apprehended by your offenses
Coming up empty again
The ruins of a past
Just past the hill,
Suggests there were alternatives attempted before they were killed
No one remembers how,
but just a few remember why
It all went Lord of the flies
So apprehensive, about your defenses
Coming up empty again
After it all goes south, you'll hear a knock at the door
The future comes to collect, what your past can't afford,
You should have known.
Should have known it would all go south,
Should have known, should have known,
It all went Lord of the Flies
And you should have known.

Resin

Resin
Can't scrape it off my soul
He brought a piece, and read a list of grievances,
It was a mile wide.
They offered him back an arm and a leg, but they were pulling it
He felt his heartbeat stuck in the wall,
It was all subtly hidden
He thought it best to go down to the street and let everybody bleed out
He's hearing voices now
They tell him to be scared
He's up against that wall
But that's neither here nor there
There was a cloud that fell over the room
And she assumed that they could see it
Because in the corner someone had been dead, for many seasons.
She nearly lost it talking to demons (who seemed like exes)
The ghost said,
'Don't waste your time going through the motions."
She's hearing voices now
They tell her to be scared
She's up against a wall
That's neither here nor there
Resin
You're a liar
Can't scrape you, can't scrape it off my soul
Resin
Can't scrape it, can't scrape it off my soul
Resin pulls like a dead weight
Pulling me under again
Burning me up from the inside
I'm hearing voices now
They tell me to be scared
My back's against a wall
But that's neither here nor there

High Horse
05:03
|
|||
I'm coming down
off of high horse
because i've been up here for too long
lost in a blur and
this isn't the first time
that i been awake 'til the dawn
it figures
when i look at pictures
overcome with history
nuances i got wrong still taunt me
it seems
on down, out and about
i found it in your loss
and in the debris
a pound of flesh
a pound of gold
i'm coming down off of a high horse
cuz i've been up here for too long.
lost in a blur,
and this isn't the first time
that i been awake til the dawn
when kindness is deaf, dumb, and blind,
it's never long
before the parade
i walked the walk of shame
and talked a lot of game
and played the charade
'nuances i got wrong'
more like a dirty bomb
you'd probably agree
a pound of flesh
a pound of gold
i'm coming down off of a high horse
cuz i've been up here for too long.
lost in a blur,
and this isn't the first time
that i been awake til the dawn
i'm so alome
up on my high horse
this place is big when you're gone
vacantly staring over into your chair
i'm thinking
you should be there
but you're not

Hold It
03:50
|
|||
All the horses
All the king's men
Now forsaken
By the force
That couldn't fix
Their fabrications
Just hold it together
And stay right here forever
Covet this distraction
Of that warring faction
That collapsed the maze
As I avert my gaze from you
Every second wasted
Chasing other wasted
Seconds turn to days
And I mourn
Every day for you
Here and now it shines forever
Whatever sick design
Invites the Reaper
So hold it together
You will rise,
When you find
That you are collapsing deeper
All the horses
All the king's men
Now forsaken
By the force
That couldn't fix
Their fabrications
You can ask it anything
This, my $7 ring
It can tell your mood
And it will read your fortune, too
Black and violet, indigo
Up and down
Look out below
Cuz you're falling
And I didn't pack your parachute
Here and now it shines forever
Whatever sick design
Invites the Reaper
So hold it together
You will rise,
When you find
That you are collapsing deeper
Just hold it together
Stay right here forever.

Opposite Daze (II)
05:20
|
|||
He lives a hypothesis, defined by his opposite and never his love
So weakened by arrogance, addicted to nemeses, and always alone,
A stranger to empathy, defined by his enemies,
Defined by his hate;
Obsessed and infatuated with his hypocrisy,
Resigned to his fate.
Self fulfilling prophesies, defined by their opposite
Defined by The Beast,
By twisted conspiracies, and jaded complacency,
And fucked up beliefs.
He waits for the word to spread, with righteousness in his head,
And blood on his hands
That soon comes the reckoning, which, timed so impeccably,
Must soon come to pass
Rich with his opposite love
He clings so jealously to what he's become,
Lost in his opposite rage,
All of his Opposite Days.
He clings to the ritual, defined by his cynical, and withering god,
Who makes him so miserable, from high on a pedestal,
He spares not the rod
And lost is the irony, that into the fire
He has thrown all the love,
Which might have awakened him, to all he's forsaken,
And all that he's lost
Rich with his opposite love
He clings so jealously to what he's become,
Lost in his opposite rage,
All of his Opposite Days.

Armada (II)
05:31
|
|||
Cast away in the essence, drifting alone in her sleep,
With the crush of perspective, the earth comes apart at the seams,
Rapidly her eyes are moving, and under the lids there are schemes.
Far she sails,
Long she waits,
Down she comes,
Up she wakes,
She lays with her tigers, drowned in the sum of their roars,
As teeth fall upon her, smiling like never before,
And solemn as vipers, she's pushing you through the door.
Far we sail,
On black waves,
Armada,
Stars ablaze!
In between stars you fell deeper, under the spell of her ways,
But she can't ever touch you, lost in the dark for an age,
Her silences haunt you,
Toward distant suns, through the haze.
Far she sailed,
Long she waits,
Down she comes,
Up she wakes,
Far we sail,
On black waves,
Armada,
Stars ablaze!

Behold
04:29
|
|||
Behold, behold this, look with your eyes,
The old one folded up inside
Sees what's behind
In darkness, you'll see
Something meant to be free
It's old, and people might call it unclean
And it's down here with me.
Unspoken untold times, he waited
And hated
He sold his broken soul, but finds nothing to buy.
In darkness, you'll see
Something meant to be free
It's old, and people might call it unclean
And it's down here with me.
Lo and behold
Lo and behold
He wrote back home, but it had faded into his mind,
He spoke to no one of his crimes,
Or terrible dreams.
The golden, frozen throne, so ancient, crumbles with time
The old unholy thing survives
And it's down here with me
Something meant to be free.

Sequoia
04:14
|
|||
Sequoias up in the Mariposa Grove
Just keep getting older and older,
While the fire burns around you;
Soak up the tears of 800 years
While the hills still smolder and smolder
Eyeless, you, your highness,
Watchful
Like a sentinel
Until the bitter end
Falling like a leaf
So put me to bed
Wake up slowly, rising up
The tall trees
Will be here long after you and me
Have shed this form we covet
Mercy fills them and in their stillness,
They abandon guilt and innocence.
Let the mariposa flutter away.
Up from the catacombs
Lower than snakes
Always been sleeping
Even when I'm awake
Too numb for bargaining, tears, or denial
But this place is golden
Let's stay here a while
Like a sentinel
Until the bitter end
Falling like a tree
